കുമാരനാശാന്‍ (1873-1924)

തിരുവനതപുരം ജില്ലയില്‍ കായിക്കര എന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു ജനനം. 1891 ല്‍ ആശാന്‍ ശ്രീ നാരായണ ഗുരുവിന്റെ ശിഷ്യത്വം സ്വീകരിച്ചു .വെയില്‍സ്‌ രാജകുമാരനില്‍ നിന്നു പറ്റും വളയും നേടുകയുണ്ടായി ."ആശാന്‍ ,വിപ്ലവത്തിന്റെ ശുക്ര നക്ഷത്രം "എന്ന് അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടത് ജോസഫ്‌ മുണ്ടാസ്സെരിയാണ്‌ .മഹാ കാവ്യങ്ങള്‍ എഴുതാതെ മഹാകവിയായ ആളാണ് ആശാന്‍ .വിവേകോദയം പത്രം സ്ഥാപിച്ചത് ആശാനാണ് .1924 ല്‍ പല്ലനയാറ്റില്‍ വച്ചുണ്ടായ ബോട്ടപകടത്തില്‍ ആശാന്‍ വിട വാങ്ങിആശാന്റെകൃതികള്‍ ;വീണപൂവ്‌ (1907),നളിനി (1911),ലീല (1914),ചിന്താവിഷ്ടയായ സീത (1919),ചണ്ഡാല ഭിക്ഷുകി (1922),ദുരവസ്ഥ (1922)

അയ്യങ്കാളി -1863-1941 സാമൂഹ്യ പരിഷ്കര്‍ത്താവ്‌ ,ഹരിജന നേതാവ് ,ശ്രീമൂലം പ്രജ സഭ അംഗം എന്നീ നിലകളില്‍ പ്രസിദ്ധന്‍ .
കെ അയ്യപ്പന്‍ -1889-1968 സഹോദരന്‍ അയ്യപ്പന്‍ എന്ന് പ്രസിദ്ധനായ വ്യക്തി,തിരുക്കൊച്ചിയിലെ ആദ്യ മന്ത്രി സഭയില്‍ അംഗമാണ്
കെ .കേളപ്പന്‍ -1890-1971 സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യ സമര സേനാനി,പത്രാധിപര്‍,കോണ്ഗ്രസ് നതാവ് എന്നീ നിലകളില്‍ പ്രസിദ്ധന്‍ .കേരള ഗാന്ധി എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു .
പനമ്പിള്ളി ഗോവിന്ദ മേനോന്‍ -1908-1970 കോണ്ഗ്രസ് നേതാവ്,അഭിഭാഷകന്‍,കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രി,വാഗ്മി,എന്നീ നിലകളില്‍ പ്രസിദ്ധന്‍
സി .കേശവന്‍-1891-1969 സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യ സമര നേതാവായിരുന്നു,.തിരുക്കൊച്ചി മുഖ്യ മന്ത്രിയായിരുന്നു.എസ് .എന്‍ ഡി പി യുടെ ജില്ല സെക്രടരിയായി സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്.

Vaikom Muhammad Basheer born at Thalayolaparambi in vaikom)He was a Malayalam fiction writer. He was a humanist, independence fighter, novelist and short story writer. He was awarded the Padma Sri in 1982.
